Specify Your Project
One of the benefits of using Rankshift is that you can create unlimited projects.
If you have access to multiple projects, results only apply to the currently selected project. When starting a new chat, always specify which Rankshift project you want to use so results are returned for the correct project.
Use Date Ranges
Always include a date range when you need a specific or repeatable answer.
Good examples:
"from 2026-04-01 to 2026-04-30"
"for the last 30 days"
"between January 1 and March 31, 2026"
If you do not provide dates, the assistant may use the default recent reporting window configured for your Rankshift workspace.
Use of Filters
Results may be scoped to specific brands, prompts, models, personas, scenarios, tags, sources, or domains. When asking a question to an AI agent, include filters where appropriate.
Example with tag filter:
For [PROJECT NAME], render a heatmap where the X-axis shows LLMs and the Y-axis shows brand terms, sorted by overall visibility descending. Color cells on a single-ramp scale (light → dark = low → high visibility %), and show the percentage value inside each cell. Goal: instantly see which brand dominates which LLM. D this for the tag ‘[TAG NAME]’.
Provide Context For Better Answers
Ask focused questions and say how you want the result grouped.
Example 1
❌ Instead of: "How are we doing?"
✅ Ask: "Compare [BRAND NAME], [BRAND NAME], and [BRAND NAME] by visibility and share of voice for April 2026, broken down by AI model."
Example 2
❌ Instead of: "Why are citations low?"
✅ Ask: "Analyze citation rate for [BRAND NAME] and [BRAND NAME] from 2026-04-01 to 2026-04-30, then show the source domains behind the gap."
Example 3
❌ Instead of: "Check sentiment."
✅ Ask: "Review sentiment for[BRAND NAME], [BRAND NAME], and [BRAND NAME] over the last 90 days, grouped by month and AI model."
Example 4
❌ Instead of: "Find sources."
✅ Ask: "Search for sources and domains related to [DOMAIN NAME], then show which ones were used as evidence in April 2026."
