Where to find Query Fanouts in Rankshift?

Rankshift captures query fanouts for ChatGPT and Perplexity. You can find them in two places: inside an individual response and in the prompt-level overview table.

Inside a response

The most detailed view of fanout queries is available when you open an individual AI response.

  1. Go to Monitoring > Visibility > Prompts in the sidebar

  2. Click on a prompt to see its responses

  3. Open a response from ChatGPT or Perplexity

  4. Scroll down to the Fanout Queries section

In the prompt overview table

You can also see fanout data at the prompt level without opening individual responses.

  1. Go to Monitoring > Visibility > Prompts> Fanout Queries

  2. In the prompt list, the fanout queries tab shows a summary per prompt Here you'll see the full list of sub-queries the model generated for that specific response, along with:

    • # β€”> the number of times that fanout query appeared

    • % β€” >the percentage share of that query across all fanouts for this prompt

Supported models

Fanout queries are currently captured for:

  • ChatGPT (OpenAI)

  • Perplexity Sonar

Support for additional models may be added in future updates.
